Our Idiot Brother (2011)
A comedy centered on an idealist who barges into the lives of his three sisters.
WILLIE NELSOOOOON!!!! As the saying goes “Nice guys finish…”
Naivety, honesty and good will towards - becomes the butt of the joke.
Those damn filthy hippies! Paul Rudd plays “the dude” aka “ghandi” aka “my bro” in the Rudd way we all know and love. That stupid face, it amazes and amuses.
The women… THE BABES! aka sisters Elizabeth Banks, Emily Mortimer, Zooey Deschanel and her main squeeze Rashida Jones = testes exploding!!! Cuties, lezzzbians and bitches surround our hapless hero. Let’s not forget the asshole, Steve Coogan. Who gives us a “peek” of his diamonds.
The story was a bit shallow, but had current cultural/situational relevance. Guys ad gals will like this. Not a “HAHA!” comedy… a pleasant one.
A film with good intentions morals and love for family. It’s got heart.
Laughs for mature audiences. We are all evil and have to be reminded of the simpler things in life. Love to live and live to love.

Puncture (2011)
A David and Goliath law drama about a drug-addicted lawyer who takes on a health supply corporation while battling his own personal demons.
Based on a true story. - Weiss and Danzinger had been approached by an inventor having trouble selling a safety syringe due to a major industry needle maker and hospital group purchasing organizations pushing back against the introduction of the new, safer syringes.
A medical courtroom drama directed by Adam & Mark Kassen.
Our hero! Why so serious? Chris Evans, takes things to the next level. Reinventing himself as a dramatic actor, and doing it well. Had to shake off his comedic quirks outta my head. Evans is here! His partner Mark Kassen was the Yin to his Yang.
Drugs and law, the perfect combination when dealing with the crooked and deceitful opportunists. I was not expecting much from this film… this caught me off guard. The issue of “clean” needles is something we glance at and ignore. Well it’s on screen now… Learn.
This is something people need to know about. Instead of going through the “real life docu approach” the filmmakers have given some beauty to this ugly world we live in.
People are held back by brutes in politics and greedy medical institutions wrapped in the finger of the powerful and abusive.
A thrilling story backed up by respectable acting, produced excellently. A little something with meat and brain fodder.
